Rod Boaz
President & Executive Producer
With a business savvy cultivated in the Media & Broadcasting Division of Mitsubishi International Corporation, a New York-based worldwide trading company, Mr. Boaz knows how to connect the dots between a global market and the “Hollywood” sensibility. As Business Development Manager there, he oversaw media and internet related businesses, coordinated the licensing of television programming and other media content from the USA, serving as the key local liaison to the “Hollywood” community. In 1993, Boaz founded Elastic Media Corporation, a full service production studio providing audio/visual creative services. Elastic has become one of the premiere studios specializing in voice over and foreign localization for top toy company clients such as Hasbro, Playmates Toys and Bandai. Some of Boaz' producer and licensing credits include “Sonic the Hedgehog”, “Duel Masters”, “Transformers”, "Strawberry Shortcake", and the billion dollar hit “Beyblade”.
A long time coach and youth sports participant, Boaz' love for the youth sports experience was taken to a new level in 1994 when Boaz was elected to sit on the Board of Directors for the Placentia PONY Baseball league. His volunteer efforts have expanded to include the Presidency of Placentia PONY and an appointment to the Bond oversight committee for Measure A, a $200 million bond passed in Nov. 2007 that will pay for improvements in classrooms and athletic facilities within the Placentia Yorba Lind Unified School District.
